It is too hard to make money in this economy?
What do you mean I can become wealthy?
You are doing what?
Inevitably, we are constantly surrounded by people who know what is best for us. Our parents tell us that we should make our decisions based on what we learned in school. Our friends tell us we should base our decisions on what we learned from the latest and greatest infomercial. Finally, our financial advisors advise us on how to invest on money based on their opinion, even if the opinion is not in our best interests.
So who do we listen to?
It is very simple actually!
Listen to those who have done what it is you so desire!
If you want to be a successful guitar player, don't follow the guy at the bar that "knows" what you have to do to become successful.
Learn from the likes of someone like Eddie Van Halen. He has become successful as a guitar player and if that is what you want to do, why else learn from anyone else?
Watch his videos. Learn his riffs. Read his interviews.
If you want to be a successful chef, don't follow the guy who makes good hamburgers in his backyard. Let's face it, almost anyone can make a better burger than McDonald's. Learn from the likes of someone like Wolfgang Puck. He has become a succesful chef and if a chef is what you want to be, why else learn from anyone else?
Watch his television shows. Cook using his recipes. Get tips from his websites or other sources.
Now, if you want to become wealthy, don't follow your family and friends, unless they have achieved wealth. We have all heard the saying "If you want to soar like the eagles, stop hanging around with turkeys!" I am not saying that your family or friends are turkeys.
What I am suggesting is look at what your goals and desires are and learn from the people who can most get you there. If that is your family, great. Learn from them. If not, find successful "eagles" and start learning their ways of thinking. Start watching their videos. Learn their techniques. Read their interviews.
Your dreams will not wait for you to get there.
You need to go out and get them!
